Picking the "best" of the "worst" era ever in boxing? Interesting!

Not one of these fighters other than Wlad will ever be remembered!!!!
    Ray.

      We need:

Povetkin vs Haye (never happened because both were saving their ******ity for Wlad, no reason it shouldn't now)

Fury vs Wilder (two towering, somewhat clumsy looking guys at similar points in their careers -- division isn't big enough for both of them)

Fury might beat Povetkin via sheer height difference, I think Pulev would give him big problems though.

They will be remembered by serious boxing historians, not by the 24/7 & AllAccess crowd that posts here.

Same with 200, 175, much of 168, most of 160, and all of the very light divisions being fought over in Asia.

"Ey bro did you see Krzysztof "Diablo" Wlodarczyk on Cribs?"

I still can't get over how easily Drozd handled Wlodarczyk. I can't see anybody beating that guy at cruiser.

To the topic, Povetkin has the best resume lately. Anybody other than Wlad he handles. I don't think Wilder and Fury can spoil and nullify him quite like Wlad did.

They will, by younger generations following them.

                Tch!

Old Ray can still remember obscure fighters from 100 years ago well enough to sing their imagined praises, but thinks current top fighters wont be remembered in time.

                What an assessment!

Povetkin by a mile, he has a great résumé and record.

I need to watch more Povetkin, because what I've seen from him does not put him at the #1 spot under Klitschko. One thing though is that he did have Wlad grabbing and laying over his back all night.
