i think duva made some sense actually.

the fight is scheduled already. she says she does not want to lose her money by cancelling the fight. and if EITHER fighter tests positive, then she has to cancel the fight, period. No monetary penalty or negotiation allowed, just that the fight is done. She asked her lawyer if they could test, keep the fight going, then just reveal the positive afterwards. the fight will be no contest or disqualification but the fight would still have happened and she wouldve made money. But the lawyer said no, as soon as positive result pops up, they gotta go public.

I would say that Kovalev is clean and Pascal will test clean because heredia knows his ****. so theres no danger to taking the test. just do it so kovalev can tell everyone to suck his penis.

Duva is part of Kovalev's team, yes, but she is the guy's boss.
question though. since the contract is already signed and the promoter already went ahead with the plans and whatever, in this situation where the promoter doesnt want extra testing because it risks the fight, is there any liability for the fighter to go against the promoter's wishes and do the testing and the result is one of them tests positive and the fight is cancelled?

So is it safe to assume that this fight is still on?

We know this. He is dirty or she would not be against it. The only way the fight would be in jeopardy is if there was a chance he was dirty. It was her idea to have Pascal finance it. When he agreed and she still said no it is clear she was bluffing and is hiding something.

Why would they loose money? What does scheduling the fight costs?

Exactly like Andre Ward. No one is fighting that dirty bastard after he refused Rodriguez test.

Look at the idiots drooling about Kovalev being dirty, never mind the whole point of contention is that Pascal wants tests but isn't willing to pay for them and wants the other party to pay for it. You want something then pay for it, don't go public trying to change the facts. They did not say no to the tests, they just don't want to be the ones to have to pay for it since it's his request.

I don't like this. If Duva has any problems regarding the testing protocol ie to cancel or not to cancel a fight in the event of a positive test, why not solve these issues to ensure that a random testing procedure is effectuated?

I simply do not understand it. In my view it's in boxings best interest in the long and short run, to deal with these issues and a longstanding member of the industry (Duva) should really do more.

Pascal quite clearly said he was going to pay for it.

What she says makes perfect sense. There are more negatives, than positives in today's testing format.
PED testing ruined careers of many athletes, due to mistakes and negligence in testing protocol. Some of them spent years in court afterwards just to clear their names. While others were never caught, but eventually admitted to having juiced for years of their active careers.
PED testing in its current form is just an element of PR for promotion teams. No more than that.
So you are saying that there's more negatives than positives with PED testing. You then only name one single negative which is that PED testing ruined careers of many athletes due to errors in testing. So that's the argument which I must say is rather weak, but let's have a list of some of those 'many athletes' please.
