Comments Thread For: Duva Responds To Pascal's PED Testing Complaints

See unlike Mayweather, who is adamant that fighters accept extra drug testing prior to signing the contract, Pascal was apparently willing to let it go. After they signed he went on a tirade on twitter demanding extra testing.
Well that's too bad for him. He could have easily said no fight and shamed Kovalev. He would have a point then. Instead he's stuck in this situation. I guarantee he's not going to be the one to try and cancel the fight.
This fight will be going through and Pascal will keep crying until the fight, keep posting on twitter while Kovalev is training or "pill krushing", as you say, and in March Pascal will get brutally knocked out and his career will effectively be over.Comment

Pascal knew the conditions. He knew that they weren't going to sign off on extra testing, because as they said it's not regulated and it's too expensive. But what did Pascal and his team do? He signed the contract anyway. According to Duva Pascal's team was willing to let the fight go through anyway despite someone testing positive, which is laughable to say the least.

Now Kovalev, who is going to touch him after this? Who is going to fight him without testing? And if he refuses again, was he ever what they made him out to be?
No matter what happens with Pascal, Kovalev is marked. You can bet everyone he fights after is demanding testing. The bum just got exposed.Last edited by Real Talk85; 01-20-2015, 08:45 PM.Comment

Pay for VADA the most competent one and Kovalev and diva don't have a problem with. Vada actually catches cheater not hide test results like usdaComment

Peds crazy
Now it's becoming silly.....2 blood test prior to the fight and 1 after is ample....40 days before ...2nd 15 days before the fight and 3rd straight after the fight...peds can only improve your performance if you take them over a 6 week course and they will stay in your system for another 3 weeks when you have finished the course.......so if you think a weeks course will turn you into superman think again...there designed to be taken over a duration of timeComment

You have comepletely misses the point. And yes he very well cancel the fight. Unlike Kovalev he can recoupe in another big fight.

lol @ your last statement. Kovalev will be fine. He still has 3 belts and HBO on his side. He'll be in demand no matter what. Maybe his future opponents will force him to take testing BEFORE they sign the contract, Or not. He'll continue running through the entire division.Comment

Unless it was in the contract, I doubt it. Otherwise he'll be paying for damages. The only way this fight doesn't go through is if Pascal gets "injured" and I wouldn't put it past him. Although I don't think HBO will like that too much. Especially since the fight is 2 months away. But I think he'll come to his senses and go through with the fight. He needs to get in the gym and start training.

And you are severely understating the reprocussions here. This very much effects his negotiating power. Fighters will demand testing prior to any contract and you can bet your ads no top tier fighter will sign unless he does. If they refuse like they are now then maybe you want to explain How he moves forward?Comment

It's called common sense. They clearly asked him to pay as a bluff. When he accepted they were exposed and just flat out refused.
He is juicing . You are right though, Pascal should have had it in the contract.Comment

Pascal doesn't strike me as the brightest guy around, I wouldn't be surprised he pulls a Berto and tests dirty himself, I mean he's the one working with Memo.
Regardless, should have put it in the contract, don't complain after.
As for Kovalev and his team, obviously if he doesn't do it he'll be suspected so they'll have to make that decision if not taking tests is worth the potential backslash.Comment
