One high-ranking boxing official close to the Mayweather-Pacquiao talks said Penagaricano isn’t angling for Mayweather and might pursue a meeting at 154 pounds against former welterweight champion Timothy Bradley in June if Alvarez is indeed moving on.

If the big fight happens I envisioned them actually attending superbowl week like Oscar-May was promoted. Mayweather announcing anything out of Australia doesn't give me much confidence.

I doubt he will (press release says the same thing). But we'll probably get an update. And again, he did say something a couple days ago. I'd prefer everyone shut up and announce something when there's something to announce.

So now that Floyd has refused to fight Pacquiao, the filipino is looking at a new division to conquer. The lineal MW title is easier to get a hold than ever before given the fact that it's held by a former victim of Pac's.
