It depends on the weight and who is training who. People assume Roach would train Manny, I'm not so sure about that. I was watching an interview with Roach where he said he doesn't even talk with Manny on the phone anymore. Something happened and they simply aren't as close as they used to be whereas Cotto and Roach seem to talk a lot and even get some tune-up sessions and check ins between fights.

If it's under 150 Manny wins, anything above that and I think it's too big for Manny. He can't take a shot like he used after the JMM KO, even Bradley was making him see stars he said.

I think I saw that interview and I didn't necessarily get that something has happened between them. Seemed more of a case of their relationship being a professional one, not a personal one. Believe me, Roach will come running for that check if Manny calls.

True. But a lot of camels has to swallowed, and I personally feel that Cotto would be Floyd's main goal to get the lineal MW belt. That title would never come any easier.

Now the same could be said for Pac and it would be a masterstroke for Arum if he could snatch Cotto in front of Floyd and surely he is thinking about that.

It wasn't that particular line it was when he asked if they were to fight on the same date I was expecting him to say Manny in two seconds. Not even if they were facing each other, just if May/Pac Cotto/Canelo happened on the same night he had to think about it. I'm probably looking too much into it, he's relationship with Manny is much deeper than Cotto's which is why I surprised by his response.

I don't think this fight would help each fighter, Pacquiao beat Cotto once already and as much as I love watching Cotto, he is just a name in the ring now. Plus they are both trained by Roach so I don't see any change in that either.

                    Mayweather Vs Cotto II

HBO Sportscaster Jim Lampley side after the Rios fight that

"Cotto's gonna fight Mayweather, May 2"

When asked how he thinks that the fight will go? He went on to say

"The fight is not made yet. I think that like 60/40 Mayweather, but I give Cotto a shot"

I don't see a reason why a respected senior sportscaster and commentator who has covered every major fight on HBO since 1998 has any reason to be untruthful here. Mr Lampley must have received some inside information.

The fight is not made yet but It will have to be made very soon as time is running out.
