Some rumors of a 154.5 catch weight is disappointing. If true I thought Mayweather would allow Cotto a few more pounds.

But when you think about it. Despite being the challenger, Mayweather is still the A side. So he can lay down the terms and Cotto have little choice but to accept.

154.5 is quite low and It means Cotto will have to change diet and training style, coming into the fight out of prime physical condition.

A few more pounds? It's for the lineal middleweight title and neither one of them has ever fought at 160. And it's a guy he already clearly beat to boot.

On top of that the only reason Cotto has the title is because Martinez lied about his knees for retirement money in perhaps the most embarrassing sham title fight of the past decade.

There's nothing that can be done to make this anything but a massive joke.
