Would be a shame if this fight happens & not against Pacquiao. I mean this is it now. It's literally now or never to happen.

really? And let floyd get a ko? People forgot who Alexander has lost to before.

I can't see it happening. The fall-out from a Cotto-Mayweather re-match (a good fight in isolation) would be huge - you'd have traded in two amazing match-ups for one good one, and the backlash against Floyd would be tremendous, at a point when his star is already fading.

It would probably be at a catch-weight too, which would be the final insult.

Mayweather, as is usual, is just delaying everything - he takes pleasure in being able to control the boxing landscape, knowing there are all these fights/fighters waiting on him to make up his mind.

I keep getting told not too worry, Pacquiao/Mayweather is all but done, but I keep reminding the same people, there is NO ink to paper yet.
This right here! People getting mad at cotto, but it was giftnelo that left the negotiation table

Who even cares at this point. It's been 6 years I'm sick of this same song and dance. At this point if they aren't going to fight each other just do everyone a favor and retire. The past 5 years with these guys have just been smoke and mirrors and I stopped being strung along after the 2nd go round.

I really hope those gullible casual and hardcore boxing fans take a stand and boycott both Floyd and Manny next fights if they don't fight each other next.

They're going to keep selling/pitching y'all **** fights as long we keep on letting them get away with it. The Cotto rematch is not ****ty fight, but who in their ****ing right mind is demanding for this ****ing fight to happen right now? No one. Same thing with Amir Khan. Those fights can happen afterwards, but people want Mayweather-Pacquiao NOW, not in September, not 2016, or never, we want it now.

I had a gut-feeling that if Floyd gets the opportunity to fight in May 2nd without anyone challenging him for that date, he'll take it and fight someone not named, Manny Pacquiao. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but the dude is just as sneaky and slimy as the guy he dislikes[Bob Arum]. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather-Cotto happens, but for now, I'll reserve judgement until an official announcement.

Cotto TKO 4th round. ALL points on it.

I'm guessing one of the main problems is that Mayweather doesn't want Pacquiao getting 40%.
