Well, there's another 75 bux I'll be saving.

Especially since Canelo will probably have a fight on the same night on HBO. I'll just watch that.

If Moonves is as involved in the negotiations as we have been lead to believe (With the latest being according to LA Times that he is personally meeting with head of HBO) I doubt he lets Mayweather fight Cotto if there is actually a possibility of a Pacquiao fight being made. As others have stated public backlash would be significant and the fight wouldn't sell enough to make Showtime their money back (if that is why Moonves is so involved).

Wouldn't Arum be involved here just like if it was Pacquiao?

He always works with a major promoter. The only time he didn't fight under Arum was when he fought Mayweather, it was promoted by GBP.

Pretty sure Floyd's contract is structured so he gets final say in who he fights. I'm positive Haymon of all people made certain that was in writing. Like Floyd said to Stephen A. Smith when they were 'beefing' a few months ago:

"So it doesn't matter who I fight. I can fight two duds. At the end of the day, it's about working smarter, not harder."

The only reason that floyd has any fans is because he is urban like them. Thats the only reason that his fans relate to him. Other than that, he is a known poozy using the "sport" of boxing to make money. The guy is not the best and he never will be. He never fought the best when he should have. Fighting opponents years late does not count.

Pacquiao will always be the greatest of this era.

so fl0mos want pac to rely on hope and wait indefinitely for Floyd, but it's perfectly cool for floyd's team to reach out to other fighters behind the scenes like Cotto's team has recently admitted...

and here I thought you'd **** on floyd the same way you did Arum for suggesting a plan B

if moonves allows this fight to happen, we're never going to get pacquiao vs floyd. never. he was the only hope i had of this fight ever happening. if hbo and showtime are having problems coming up with an agreement to co-broadcast the event, i can see why showtime would be okay with cotto fight.

as a fan, i'm not happy about it at all.
