Why would he need to pretend?

I'm a Pac fan, and I'm not happy that this looks like it won't happen. I genuinely feel.Pac does want this fight. Don't feel Floyd wants it, as if he is flexing his muscle to.show the world.that it's him then everyone else.

      Sucks being a boxing fan.

Seriously? What a ****** question, but I'll bite. He would need to pretend because most people, except for a small population, thinks he's the duck and coward for not fighting Pac.

They think that anyway. That doesn't relate to negotiating with Cotto. Try again. What a ****** answer.

Yeah, when you buy PPV's like Pacquiao-Algieri, Mayweather-Guerrero, and Mayweather-Maidana 2 you definitely hurt the sport. Stop supporting crappy fights doode

Look at how commonly and frequently Mayweather deceives his fans. He has zero respect for his fans and thinks they are all ignorant fools, and he is right.

Now look at how respectfully and amazing Pacquiao treats his fans. He never openly lies to them like a child would lie to a dog.

Let Floyds fans of idiots keep defending him, his rep is done. People will always remember and believe that Floyd is scared of Pac, and that Pac would KO him.

The blame also lies with Canelo for opening the door for Cotto to easily fight May. Canelo shouldve kept negotiations open. Jan isn't even over yet.

Pretending that you finally want to make this fight, which you really don't, while negotiating with Cotto. Which is the fight you really want. What's not to understand???

Didn't Max Kellerman bring this possibility up on The Fight Game last month? I remember he said something along the lines of Mayweather pulling a bait and switch to try and force his way onto the May 2nd date... I'll look up the interview when I get a chance

I've been making this argument since yesterday with friends on this topic. Once Cotto/Canelo talks officially died, I IMMEDIATELY thought there was a strong chance for Mayweather-Cotto II. Floyd now has an out. I keep getting told not too worry, Pacquiao/Mayweather is all but done, but I keep reminding the same people, there is NO ink to paper yet.
