Why the hell would they be waiting for the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight?

They have already said that if Mayweather and Pacquiao indeed gets made they'd move the fight date. Not a big deal. The important thing was to get the fight signed. They agreed to everything Cotto wanted, and Cotto still b!tch out.
Cotto has a history of being difficult to deal with.

Nobody would watch mayweather cotto 2 if mayweather pulls that move. If mayweather backs out and fights cotto we know that was the plan all along. The fans would backlash and ShowTime would lose massive money again, and I'm assuming they would make canelo pacquiao and canelo keeps the may date anyways and Manny will take his ppv crown back

Why the hell is canelo so pressed about May 2. If pac Floyd happens HBO won't let him fight on that date. And if Floyd vs khan/cotto happens he's still at a disadvantage

It's not even about the May 2nd thing. Cotto's adviser already said that June was also a possibility.Cotto's is just a duck thats it. He never wanted this fight. He's looking for another crippled fighter. cotto is a disgrace.

Here's the thing, cotto signs off for May 2nd in Vegas or Texas. If then have to move to a later date it'll be in June and still in Vegas and Texas. And cotto isn't with that. He will fight on the west coast in May for the Mexican Holliday but if that can't be done and they fighting in June, then Canelo gonna have to bring his ass to New York for the PR Parade weekend. I think that's what's the problem. Could be wrong but that's what I think.

What? That doesn't make any sense. Oscar and Canelo want to announce the fight now, so they can start the promotional tour. If indeed the Pacquiao/Mayweather fight comes off, which if we're really honest there is no guarantee that the fight will actually be made, then you move it to the next date that makes the most sense. You move it to June and you make it in New York. Oscar has already said this. Canelo said he has no problem fighting in NYC if it made sense.

All this is Cotto just being his typical diva self. He has a history of being an arse in negotiations. Canelo just wasn't having anymore. Canelo is a B side yes, but he's not a B side the way Rodriguez or Sergio Martinez were.
