I'm not comprehending why Oscar is saying canelo will be fighting on may 2nd regardless. If Floyd vs Manny happens may 2nd on ShowTime and HBO where is he going to fight on Univision? Lol what does it matter then if its not HBO or ShowTime nobody would watch it. I agree cotto should have signed but Oscar is still being delusional. Only way canelo fights may 2nd is if its vs pacquiao. That fight would trump anything mayweather would try to do except for maybe ggg.

Nobody would watch mayweather cotto 2 if mayweather pulls that move. If mayweather backs out and fights cotto we know that was the plan all along. The fans would backlash and ShowTime would lose massive money again, and I'm assuming they would make canelo pacquiao and canelo keeps the may date anyways and Manny will take his ppv crown back

This is giving boxing a real bad look with all these b.s. Negotiations and people backing out of fights. This is why so many people are turned off, because the best don't fight the best anymore. If mayweather ducks pacquiao there is going to be such a huge backlash from fans. Nobody will watch Floyd fight anymore. Everyone would tune in to see canelo pacquiao though

its a good move from oscar, "IF" the floyd vs pac fight gets made. who else is cotto going to fight that will offer as much money as canelo does? cotto will have to take what canelo offers or fight someone else for less money, someone who can either beat him, or someone who nobody wants to see. now its just a matter of waiting for the pac vs floyd negotiations to end so we can see who the better chess player turns out to be.
