HBO and Showtime want to negotiate May 5 for that fight so why would they care about cotto or canelo?

It's called common sense. If Pac/Floyd happens then it will be a joint production between HBO and Showtime. HBO is NOT going to host 2 ppv's on the same day. Canelo would have no choice but to get off his high horse and move off the date.

With that said, If Cotto really wanted to fight Canelo, all he had to do was sign the contract for May 2nd pending the outcome of the Floyd/Pac negotiations. If Pac/Floyd is announced, then everyone knows they have to move their date.

So have him sign it right now. Next friday May/Pac is announced. Where does that leave Cotto and Canelo? Now they need new contracts for a new date and venue. Now you think Canelo is going to take the same money for having to go to NY in June? You can't call Cotto a ***** because he initially agreed except if that fight was made. It's an entire issue again, if Canelo wants a fight so bad he can just fight in NY in June. I bet you the contracts would be done already if that was the case. May/Pac getting done wouldn't matter on that point, but Canelo wants May 2nd so bad it's somehow Cotto's fault for just waiting.

This is all Cotto. He has a history of being a diva in negotiations. Remember how Margarito/Cotto 2 was on the verge of not being made because of Cotto's demands? Margarito was willing to go to his turf in NYC, and Cotto was throwing out ridiculous rehydration and 150 lb catchweights even though he was fighting at 154 at the time.

Cotto is a Bit!ch diva who probably just didn't wan the fight.

Consider what Cotto and Camelot did on there own on there last ppv. You could easily cover that with ad revenue alone with all the people in the new York market and the Puerto Ricans watching they will easily hit an average of 2 million viewers.

Quillin vs Cotto will be announced just wait.
