Cotto was "valuable" in case of no May-Pac fight. Now Cotto can't even sell his "lineal belt"...

Oscar said he caved in on everything. There's a difference between being A side and getting the larger share and pricing yourself out of a fight. You get what you are worth regardless of whether your A side or not. Cotto being A side against canelo doesn't mean a whole lot, it would be akin to mayweather being A side to pacquiao, again doesn't mean a whole lot. Otherwise cotto could take a 95/5 split and that would be fair just because he's A side? Obviously not, you get what your worth.

Cotto vs Martinez: Martinez was so sick of the negotiations, he's the one that began calling Cotto a diva.

        Now Cotto vs Canelo.

Again the date is insignificant. Cotto's own advisor admitted that Oscar and Canelo were willing to move the date if May/Pac gets made. He also admitted that Canelo would have no problem fighting in NYC. This is all Cotto being the diva he is.
^THISSS! all the information is out there and is fact already but nah its canelo doe.

Can anyone say canelo vs David lemieux,or GGG on may 2nd?
Theres a reason lemiuex was signed.

I wouldn't mind seeing the details that couldn't be negotiated. Date, venue, money, etc. As a fan I'm disappointed, I was looking forward to Canelo vs Cotto more than any other fight. I feel like they could have waited to the Pac/Mayweather situation got settled but it seems like they wanted to announce Canelo vs Cotto beforehand for whatever reason.

This is what I've been saying. The Mayweather/Pacquiao fight isn't even made. Why wait on a fight that for 5 damn years hasn't been made. If the date is available right now, take it! You can always move the venue and date if Pacquiao/Mayweather gets made.

Not surprised. Cotto seems content to sit on that belt until an opportunity comes to cash out.
