Every time Lucas had a "step up" fight on a big stage he has failed to make it happen for himself. Sure, you can argue about decisions,his eye etc.. But he also for whatever reason doesn't seem to be 'the machine' on a big stage... Fighting Mayweather is as big as it gets FOR ANYONE .. I can't see him winning.

But either way if he could somehow beat Prov and then beat a Thurman or Khan in a years time he would put himself in a good position to land that kind of fight.

5-1 is crazy ... And I really don't know how you can even be so matter of fact about 4-2. All of the rounds in the first half of the fight were highly competitive and close enough to where 4-2 Garcia wasn't out of the question. Let's not act like Lucas was putting on a clinic until the eye closed, he had to work hard for every round he may or may not have won in the first half of the fight.
