The last really hyped American prospect before Wilder to step it up after years of can crushing was Gary Russel Jr....that went well. I like Wilder and want to see him do well, but I'm not sold on him either. Things like that video of Lennox Lewis trying to teach him how to throw a jab and him needing more than 2-3 punches to beat Charlie Z make me nervous.

Why do Americans hate Deontay Wilder? No support for countrymen.

While it doesn't personally bother me either way, anyone else find it a bit inconsistent that a well known member posting a Pacquaio/Mayweather thread carries an instant ban penalty, but an obvious race baiting troll on a disposable account checks out as legit?

Mayweather brought on the hate though by taking on the role of the villain. People don't buy his PPV's just to see Mayweather cause he's boring, they buy it to see him lose that 0. This guy's the most popular boxer in America, yet how many of his crowds have ever been pro Mayweather, I don't think any.
Even the fights I've personally been to I don't think I've ran into a pro Mayweather fan. I live in a heavily populated hispanic state where the N-word gets tossed around like hot potato at Mayweather fights, people want to see this guy lose.
