Until he beats a quality opponent, there is no point. However if he gets past Stiverne, he would definitely gain more support from everyone I am sure. But knocking off 32 bums and never even going past four rounds is not the best way to go about it. So many heavyweights of this era and past have powered through a string of tomato cans and then step up against the champion to get exposed. It's not racism. He's just not anything we haven't seen before. Best of luck to him, but I'm not sold that he will get by Stiverne myself. The guy has way more experience and hits very hard himself. We will see.

lol So many people here come off like that. I don't think there is this many black posters on here. Most of the people pulling the "hating on the black man, woe is me" bandwagon aren't black. No way we would have this many if it was just black posters, it's someone else. Tyson Fury has received more attention and support than Wilder and Stiverne combined.

Tyson Fury doesn't even have any support here in the UK - he is extremely disliked. He's seen as the outcast whereas Anthony Joshua is the golden boy.

As to the hate, I don't think Americans hate him (white or black), I just don't think they believe in him yet.

If he beats Stiverne, for me, he will have proven himself elite material.

But I also agree with Weebler I...

He will never be a "dominant" champ or even a champ of any significant reign because his obvious lack of chin and gas will get caught soon enough anyway.

Wilder, Fury and Jennings would be the fastest KO's for Wladimir possible IMO for that reason they couldn't handle the power that would be placed on them repeatedly from the opening bell.

All of Wladimir's opponents generally have a hard chin by comparison.

In my opinion the best US HW boxer is still Chris Arreola until determined otherwise, either this weekend, or later on. Because he can take a good punch.
