I think he could win a title. Especially in the 90s where the titles changed hands quite often.

I just don't think either Klitschko would be THE guy in either era.

If Briggs could be 'The Man' in the 90's, I'm pretty sure either Klitschko in their fighting primes, could have. Especially Vitali. The version of Vitali that came back and beat up Peter would have beaten anyone in the era, incl. Lennox.

Good post. We know Wlad can be hurt and probably any heavy could hurt him with the proper shot. But..........

Wlad has the power and boxing ability to trouble anyone on the right night, especially smaller heavies prior to the late 80's.

Holyfield knows dam well Wlad K would not be shyt - Vitali has a shot because he fights very long, and has a good set of whiskers. Wlad fights like he is have a panic attack. too timid for a Mike Tyson - don't get me wrong he is a specimen but he has no chin and he hates pressure. Back to the guy who said Wlad would have out boxed Joe Louis - how many HOF fighters does Wlad have on his resume? the closes would be Chris Byrd or even David Haye - . I think wlad would have been dangerous for lewis tho becuz of his big power. he hits much harder than vitali. its not like lewis hasn't been starched by lesser punchers either. I could see either guy going down just as easily as the other. if I was forced to bet on it id favor lennox tho,,,but not by alot

I dont need to speculate - I watched lewis-vitali fight.. it was lewis's hardest fight. I dont buy unmotivated, heaviest lewis..

What do you mean "you don't buy"?.

Lewis was heavier than ever before, thus it was the heaviest Lewis to ever enter the ring for a fight.

You may argue that he wasn't unmotivated, but his weight and the fact that he had already mentioned retirement make me think otherwise.

Why are the Klitschkos always grouped together as if they're one fighter? LOL

I think Vitali could have certainly held his own in a tough HW era, but Wlad would have been KO'd and DQ'd multiple times.

It helps mask just how utterly awful Vitali's resume actually is.
