I haven't bothered reading any of the replies to the article but I presume the Brittards are boiling with rage frantically bashing their keyboard in a fit of anger in reply to it leaving themselves on the verge of a heart attack.

It's no big secret. Americans do the same thing with the 1970s.
Some day when the Eastern Euro countries start to go soft and boxers come primarily from developing countries in Africa, you will probably have a bunch of butthurt Russian and Ukrainian accountants reminiscing about the golden right-now age.
Hopefully someone will be there to carry on the tradition of shooting down their delusions and pointing out that every era has had lucky slobs and bad fights you can nitpick, but that the top fighters have consistently improved.Last edited by ////; 01-05-2015, 08:01 AM.

At the moment it's so low that the universally recognised champion is lauded for showing that he can throw a left hook-push at a stationary target rather than his usual jab-hold-lean, occasional right cross. Joe Louis was five times the boxer that Wladimir is and he fought in the 1930's.Last edited by - Ram Raid -; 01-05-2015, 08:51 AM.

Stopped, not knocked out. There's a difference. And to somehow make them out to be the same fighter is naive. Vitali, barring injury would have dominated the field in the 90's. Wladimir would too as long as he employed his current style from day 1.
