The Klitschko's are known for studying their opponents extensively in training camp. This is part of what makes them great. So with this major factor eliminated from his preparations this even further made the last minute fight harder for Klitschko vs Lewis.
Except the fact that Vitali was already studying Lewis for quite a while believing he'd eventually get his shot at him. He admitted this himself. Lewis was coming back from a year off and semi-retirement.

The way I see it is that Lewis simply did not prepare properly and normally I would hold his two losses against him if not for the fact that he owned both guys in the rematches. Amazing to think that he beat every fighter he has ever faced and even when he was way past his prime, he turned Vitali into a bloody mess.

Briggs was never THE guy. And I'm not talking about being the man at a specific point in the era. I'm talking about being the man of the era. Neither of the Klitschko's could pull that off. Just like Lennox, Bowe, Tyson, Holyfield etc couldn't either.

Steward taught Vitali how to hold? Lol Vitali rarely held... even Evander thinks the Klitschkos are a single entity.

            Steward wasn't even Vitali's trainer.
