I've hardly heard of any Japanese fighters that don't mean they can't fight. They always tough and give it a good go.

He went 1-1 with Ryo Li Lee who was a decent fighter.
Theres no shame in getting dropped, it can happen to anybody in a fight plus he got back up and won, good for him but he wasn't fighting somebody twice his size, they are in the same weight class, no need to go over the top with it.
Height is just another obstacle to overcome same as speed or power.

There is a reason the differences are smaller at the lower weights.
Yep it's a shame no one gets this.

A 100lbs fighter fighting a 200lbs fighter is fighting someone 2 times as big.

A 200lbs fighter fighting a 300lbs fighter is fighting someone 1.5 times as big.

This is why weight is more sensitive as you go into lower divisions.

These Cuban detractors are so ridiculous.

Gamboa was so overrated he had to go up 3 full weight divisions to fight #1 and a huge at the weight, great fighter in Terence Crawford just to find someone who could beat him.
Even then he gave Crawford all he could handle.

Im pretty sure theres a difference between a welterweight fighting a lightweight wich is a 17 pounds difference and rigo moving up 4 mere pounds can u spot the difference if no then idk

Its not his fault that the other belt holders don't want to face him on reasonable demands and especially if he has to give up hometown advantage as the lineal champion!
I don't hate Rigo. I hate Malignaggi, that gaylooking weakling, but I don't hate Rigo. I just think it would be better for Rigo's legacy to do what I suggested, if he really wants to be remember as more than a fragile little man who exposed Donaire. If anyone wishes that for him, THEN they hate him. I think he could make good money after fighting Frampton.

To me it doesn't prove much.
He's already small at 122lbs, he's proven his skills already.

He is a career featherweight and outweighed him by Christ knows what. It was not just height. Amagasa dwarfed an already tiny Rigondeaux. He is naturally far bigger.

when ali was knocked down against opponents everyone thought he would dominate, and then got up and won the fight did that make him overrated, this is a serious question... sometimes i wonder if alot of you actually respect the sport and understand how hard it is to be good at, especially at this level. even the least dangerous opponent is dangerous in this sport. rigos chin isnt the greatest, but he got up and got the job done
