I don't really think there are any other options for Maidana, it's either Thurman or retirement.

You're right about Guerrero though, guy wants absolutely nothing to do with Thurman.
Broner rematch? There was some talk of Canelo too, although that seems a bit pie in the sky.

Don't think Haymon will throw Broner in with Maidana again, it's not a fight he can win.

      Canelo is with HBO now.

Maybe D.Garcia if he moves up to 147 but he'd need time to settle in, don't think they'd throw him in with Maidana straight away.

I don't know why they keep bringing up Maidana's name and then follow it up with "Maidana will avoid him." I mean what's the effing point? They're not bringing up Alexander, which is the only fight that can realistically happen.

Yeah, I thought about that fight too, good match-up.

If I'm not mistaken Maidana poured cold water on a Thurman fight when he was commentating on it? I might be wrong and it happens but right now the signs for that fight don't look good.

Like I said, some fighters, as they get older and start stepping up in comp, they do move down in weight.
so he cant move up 1 division where he has already fought?? ya'll excuse certain fighters for some reason and i do not get it

He said he would move up, but only for Alvarez.

It's a shame because Maidana seems like the type of guy who would fight King Kong, but his attitude towards fighting Thurman has been a joke for a while now.

The problem with fighters these days is they all think they're superstars, guys like Maidana, Guerrero, Andrade acting like other fighters have to 'earn' a shot at them. You fight whoever the hell is put in front of you unless you've paid your dues and established yourself as one of the top dogs in the sport.

I do hope Maidana will take Thurman. Can't wait to see One Time pull the same card, "I want more moneyyyy! This guy is too risky for me."

Sometimes I wonder how you've made it this far in life Larry. How have you not drowned yourself in a cup of tea or something?

Why on earth would he move up from a weight class he's trying to establish himself in? If he'd cleaned out 147 and there was nothing else for him there, then yeah he could move up and challenge himself, but to move up without even winning a world title? That's some ******ed logic man.

It would be a heck of a turnaround if Thurman said that because he has been calling Maidana out by name.
