Yea Shane Mosely, Rick Hatton, and Zab Judah were slow as molasses!!!

JMM isn't one of the greatest combination puncher and counter punchers ever

LIKE I SAID BEFORE...THE INSULTS COME WHEN PEOPLE CANT SUPPORT THIER OPINION WITH FACTS

Ricky Hatton was one of the most athletic pressure fighters in recent memory...his foot speed and pivots were sick and had very good hand speed

Mayweather has fought a wide array of styles bro you need to go watch more than his last 2 fights to make a comment like that lol

Just being real....Mayweather went undefeated, beat 14 world champs/titlists, won titles in 4 weight classes and 2 lineal in 00-09
Pacquaio....lost erik Morales, drew with Marquez and Agapito Sanchez defeated 9 world champions/titlists won titles in 5 weight classes and 3 lineal in 00-09

Pac won one more lineal title than Floyd but didn't fight as many world class contenders or former champions so either guy was a good choice IMO but id have chosen the undefeated guy

that's like asking why did roach win Trainer of the Year Last year and other trainers had a better year

Hell at one point Roger Mayweather had a decent stable and trained his nephew and Laila Ali at the same time and never won trainer of the year even though he trained the best male and female fighter in the early to mid 2000's

That's all fine and dandy but Ring Magazine gave him that award also. Are you saying they are not credible? If not, then doesn't that make your point moot?

            no

Is Manny Pacquaio not more beloved than Mayweather?

Mayweather had one close fight the whole decade....Pacquaio had some exciting fights but he did not win all his fights. Some were close and a few could have gone the other way like the first 2 Marquez fights

The Ring is very credible but awards are opinion based not always fact or statistic based

Statistically Mayweather was more successful no losses or draws and also beat more top ten contenders and champions during the decade...Manny did win one more lineal title

Its like judging apples and oranges....awards are preference based

for example...most of us would have voted JMM vs PAC 4 as ko of the year in 2012....the fighters involved, the stakes, shock value, the nature of the knockout it should have been

A lot of renowned associations picked other ko's for koty but its all preference based....apples and oranges

what is Floyd's biggest win? right. it's against Diego "Chico" Corales. not to disrespect Chico but he is not an elite fighter.

Their rankings are also based on opinion. Those same people who give out awards, also do the ranking systems so if you are saying they are wrong on their awards then they must be wrong on the rankings as well. I understand what you're trying to say but you only want ring magazine if it benefits your point of view. Either they are credible or not. Honestly Ring Magazine's rankings are kinda iffy. Adonis Stevenson is the lineal champ but everyone knows that belongs to kovalev. Miguel Cotto is lineal champ but we all know that belongs to triple G. Take it for what it is.

                      I think he was elite ... Between 130 & 135

Lineal at 135 won the IBF, wbo at 130
His only losses were to casa mayor, Floyd, and Jose Luis Castillo

He was the favorite going in the fight with pbf and the only lightweight he faced he couldn't beat was Floyd

He was definitely elite....atg? No...but elite during his prime at his weight in his era

                      All world champs
