Mayweather is clearly a better welterweight than Pacquiao in my opinion.

        Y'all sleeping on Donald curry..

Undisputed, undefeated champ that basically cleared out the division..

As a young fighter destroyed bruce finch in 3

Beat marlon starling twice, once as 2 undefeated prospects fighting and the rematch was a unification..

Got all three belts when he bombed out Milton McCory

Early to mid 80s, curry was a legit welter monster...

Someone should upload a Donald curry highlights video, or the mccory fight, so some posters can see what they are missing..

What would you say Mayweather's best WW win is? Hatton, Judah, or Maidana?
Pacquiao's win over Cotto was pretty impressive.

Although I guess its hard to argue since Pacquiao has been KOd at Welter

I don't particularly think Mayweather has any amazing wins at WW, but I would probably say Mosley, Hatton or Maidana. But most of his wins at the weight are very good, maybe not great but very good. I feel a lot of Pacquiao's wins are good or average with one very good win, borderline great, in Cotto if Cotto hadn't just gotten his ass whupped by Margarito.

But Mayweather has also beaten the #1 2 or 3 times at WW. Manny doesn't have 1 #1. Cotto is arguably the best win on either resume, but other than that I don't see any particularly great WW win on his record. His best wins were south of welterweight.

I'm also not one to rank the Bradley wins as anything amazing. bradley did his work at LWW and moved up to face Pacquiao and got a gift and was falsely catapulted into a top P4P ranking imo. I don't even think he's top 10 let alone top 4 or whatever he was when he fought Pacquiao. The guy doesn't have a single genuine top WW win. That's just my opinion. He beat Marquez, who Mayweather beat with ease as well.

Neither floyd nor manny has a top notch win at welter,,, manny's cotto win comes closest, but it's nothing compared to shane beating Oscar, or vernon beating shane, etc...

That's true. The winner of their fight which should have happened 3-4 years ago would have made each of them a genuine candidate for the best since that time imo.

Unless Pacquiao wins, I can't see the fight now changing that much in regards to their legacy at WW.

But Mayweather has consistently fought top opposition at WW with only 1 or 2 hiccups. I can't say the same for Manny.

Yeah,, had that fight happened in 2010, the winner would be a favorite in this thread..

It's a shame that fight didn't happen then..

I think manny has the best welter win out of him and floyd, but floyd has a lot more depth..

Manny has cotto and even clottey as top welter wins... I think clottey was better than Ortiz, and ghost, and probably Maidana.. Clottey gets crapped on because of the manny performance, but you gotta remember he went life and death with both margarito and cotto.. Plus he had wins over Corrales and Judah.. I think clottey is clearly better than Ortiz and ghost and Maidana at welter...

Floyd does have the depth as Judah, baldomir, hatton, mosely, Ortiz, ghost, Maidana, marquez are all quality guys,,,,

Sweet Pea, ODH, Tito & Mosley are some of the best I've seen.
