            Surely Floyd before Shane though?

I think an easy argument could be made that Floyd is the best of those guys. Pity he didn't get to fight Forrest.

So many great, underrated welters in the era after Leonard though. The majority of which would be clear standout, dominant champs in today's.

Are we talking about resumes or h2h....

I just don't see floyd beating shane of 2000..

Floyd is a great welter for his time, but honestly dude has never faced a killer at welter, let alone beat him... I got him, manny and pernell a notch below just for the simple fact that they aren't natural welters, never beat any true killers at the wieght, and I think they come up short against true welter monsters..
They can beat the Judah's and mcgirts,, I just don't like their odds vs true welter greats in their primes...

Not sure who the best one is but I'd choose between Trinidad, Cotto, Dela Hoya, Whitaker, and Mayweather/Pacquiao. (Yes Mayweather/Pacquiao is one choice as of now)

Like how you sneaked Cotto in there.
