He is right though, not so much about disrespect, but May-Pac sells on any date. Canelo-Cotto is the fight that benefits the most from the date, although even that fight would sell at anytime, including June.

May 5 has effectively become a boxing holiday as it concerns the sport. It has been proven that this date does more ppv than any other in the sport. Never ever has it been a tradition for Mexican stars to fight on this date exclusively as it has been whomever the biggest boxing stars are in general fight on these dates.

This is a punk move by Arum because he knows Floyd fights on that date and on September. He is only going to hurt himself here, if Floyd doesn't go on that date he is going to fight Cotto again for his MW belt and Arum is SOL.
