I don't think you know what calling someone's bluff means. If he wanted to call Floyd's bluff, he would say "Okay let's get it done for May 2nd." You don't call someone's bluff by telling them to take some chips off the table.


It's like defending Arum is a reflex actions for some of the stans on this site. The complete lack of logic.

So instead of just accepting the date like any B-side in no position of power would, he'd rather stall the negotiating process of the fight. He's not trying to call Floyd's bluff. He's just trying to be in control and calling the shots, but he knows he has no power to get the terms he wants as the B-side against Floyd, so he'll resorts to do what he does best and sabotage the fight from happening because Manny is too gullible/****** to do anything about it and Arum get away with it every time as long they can use Floyd as a scapegoat. Why can't boxing's biggest PPV event happen on a date that's proven to be one of the best fight dates for PPV?

It's pretty clear Floyd is just using Manny's name to scare off Cotto/Cinnamon from the May 2nd date. If by chance that fight isn't signed or moves to a different date, that will be the last time you ever hear Floyd talking about a Manny fight.

^That was before Arum or anyone else besides Floyd brought up the date. But Uncle Bob is shrewd enough to know what Floyd was trying to do.

He tried the 'And yes Manny Pacquiao, you're next' strategy again to try to scare of Canelo/Cotto from the date. He realized no one (but dumb as Oscar ) was falling for it, so now he's scrambling to get the Khan fight done before Canelo-Cotto becomes official.

yes, oscar responded to people on twitter saying he would not go head to head against May-Pac

Also, the notion that it would have more sales on another day based on your assessment of fewer fight parties is pure speculation and flat out wrong. The reason that weekend is so desirable to the promoters is solely because it has proven to be the best day for sales regarding boxing PPVs.

It is disrespectful to not let a Mexican star fight on a Mexican holiday. If you say arum and Pacquiao are scared to fight Mayweather. How is fighting the month after May suggest being scared???

If Canelo said I'll fight on July 4th and Mayweather was saying "I wanna fight on July 4th its an American Holiday" then Canelo would be disrespecting the American People by not stepping aside.


And if you want to be dumb and bring up the fact that Pacquiao has fought on during the Cinde de Mayo Holiday. It was against Hatton and Mosley. And there WAS NO MEXICAN STAR then. And Pacquiao was NOT stepping on any other Mexican or Mexican-American trying to fight on those dates either.

It's Mayweather trying to act like he wants to fight. But coming up with sorry excuses not to fight. Like They said what's the difference between fighting 1 month after??? it's not taking away ANY money because Mayweather and Pacquiao will be the biggest fight in history.

You just went full on ****** and nothing you said makes any form of sense considering:

1.)Oscar said he would move Canelos fight from May 5 if Floyd vs Manny happened so there is no issue.

2.)The Mexican population of the planet would overwhelmingly support Floyd vs Manny over any Mexican fighter vs anyone.

3.)Nothing short of the return of Jesus Christ himself would take precedent in boxing over Floyd vs Manny on May 5.

4.)Floyd has been fighting on these dates solid for many years to no ill effect of anyone, why in the world of logic would this be an issue now? Why would Arum even care about it? He makes no sense at all.
