Arum knows that Mayweather is not going to budge from his May 2 fight plans, no matter who he fights on that day. Arum is using the date as an excuse not to make the fight.

The Cotto/Alvarez fight is not signed and, as far as anyone but Cotto knows, is not close to being signed and is not guaranteed to happen at all regardless of the date. But Bob Arum cares so damn much about ethnic heritage that he would rather see Alvarez fight Joshua Clottey on regular HBO on May 2 than make the biggest fight in history on that date?

Arum and Haymon have control over the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.
At long last somebody saw the light.

        Haymon's silence speaks volume

Mayweather is his own boss. He decides who he fights and when. Al Haymon works for Mayweather, not the other way around. Apparently, YOU don't understand that!

So Arum destroys the fight once again, and lil Pac stays quiet about it, he won't say **** to Arum. He will happily face Jessie Vargas, and they will once again use Floyd's name to hype up their whack ass fight

Talk about how Floyd is ducking, and Jessie Vargas is exciting and undefeated. Bunch of cornballs. Just go away already.

Needles, stadiums, disrespect to Cinco De Mayo, $40 million too little, 14 day cut off not good enough. It's Floyd's fault though.

Mayweather fights for Showtime, and showtime has lost a lot of money on a few of floyds fights. Les Moonves can put the pressure on Haymon and Mayweather to fight Pacquiao, or risk losing out on a lot of business. HBO got fed up with Al Haymon, and kicked all of his fighters off HBO, and all of Golden Boy Fighters as well and it turned out to be the best move ever because HBO is kicking Showtimes Ash. I am sure SHowtime is getting sick of the Al Haymon BS and they could do the same thing HBO did. I am pretty sure that is the only reason Mayweather is claiming to want to fight Pacquiao anyways. Remember if it weren't for Pacquiao calling him out constantly and doing the foot locker commercial, and also Bob arum initiating the negotiations by going over al haymon and straight to the main boss, this fight wouldn't even be a possibility right now. So you can thank Arum and Pacquiao for at least trying and giving us some hope.

Would you put out two of the same product on the same day? I doubt but then again that's why 90% of businesses fail. The irony is mofo's will avoid Floyd's plethora of double talk but will dissect the shhh out of anything Arum says.
I'm starting to wonder if they suffer from a lack of reading comprehension.

If Arum gets in good terms with Haymon, the fight happens immediately. Arum wants to talk to everyone BUT Haymon.
