A real warrior would not go into a tough risky battle if they could go a slightly different route. A warrior is not just going to fight the toughest fights, because that is not always required to win the battle.


Always why I thought warrior was a terrible word to call a boxer. A true warrior attitude is winning a fight in the cleanest way possible no matter what the crowd does~ that is surviving and advancing.

Thurman has already explained the Alexander situation in numerous interviews, he would have fought him if he had been handed a contract.

Maidana is unlikely to get a fight against any of the top 5 welterweights (Bradley, Brook, Khan, Floyd or Pacquiao) as they are either working for a different network or simply have much better options available. If he is looking to go for another title shot, he would have to fight the guys just below or in a similar position, Keith Thurman is one of them whether you like it or not.

Typo, I meant that he really shouldn't be demanding shots against title challengers or contenders seeing as he lost his last 2 fights. He would need to fight an opponent of a similar ranking to propel himself from his current position which in turn would put him back in contention.
