Let's see what happens before we call anything a duck. You fools around here are so quick of judgement. Let's say Maidana gets a shot at Pac or Canelo (or someone of high stature that is going to get him a lot of money) that's not a duck. So let's just shut up and wait to see where the dominoes fall

I do think Maidana beats Thurman, but right now it's not looking good on him with the whole ducking thing. It sucks for Maidana because Thurman is a big puncher, but brings neither money nor a name. So, it's a tough one.

thurman is very dangerous, why deny it. but it's funny how one thing works for somebody but not for the rest. on the record, chino is coming from 2 losses in a row, he needs a win now, more than thurman, then they can fight. i wanna see it too.

maidana knows thurman wrecks him because maidana is a b level fighter at best. He was handed 2 big fights that he didn't earn and now believes that hes a great fighter. He kept fighting 140 lbers at 147 and thought he was the man. Any top welterweight outclasses him

maidana has fought mayweather, khan, kotelnik, alexander, ortiz

thurman has fought bundu, a couple washed ex titlists and a couple cab drivers.

and maidana is 1-5 in those fights. thus showing he isn't at that level

The reality is, we all know why Maidana doesn't want to fight Thurman. He's not afraid of Thurman, he just knows Thurman can beat him. And probably pretty easily. Maidana knows, and his team knows, this is their last chance to really cash out - because they are also very aware of his limitations. And that's not a knock on Maidana. He's a tough guy, but a very limited fighter.

With that being said, I would love to see him in there with guys he's better matched up with. Like Mathysse, Provodnikov, Garcia, Bradley.

Guys like Pac, Khan (if he doesn't walk into a huge shot), Mayweather, Thurman beat him easily. Stylistically they do not favor Maidana.
