Blood tests, Tygart added, detect prohibited substances like human growth hormone, synthetic hemoglobin, designer EPO and blood transfusions, while urine tests do not.

      Pacquiao has agreed to have his blood tested three times: in early January, when the fight was expected to be announced, 30 days before the fight and immediately after it. He also agreed to random urine testing.

      But Tygart said the 30-day window would still allow an athlete plenty of time to dope with illegal substances not detectable by urine testing.

      ***8220;That kind of window is totally unacceptable,***8221; Tygart said. ***8220;It would provide a huge loophole for a cheater to step through and get away with cheating.***8221;

      My friend, Manny didn't just want a cut-off. He wanted to know when they were coming. So let me ask you this: If he had issues with giving blood as YOU claim he did...why was he able to take the test for Brandon Rios?
      Your memory isn't as good as you think it is, lots of details you're forgetting or omitting. The 14 day window was Floyd's offer (which is not USADA standards for testing) and at the time Pac negotiated 30, then 24 days. Egos man. Pac even eventually gave into Floyd's 14 day cut-off but Floyd said it was too late (agreed like a week after Floyd said it).

      Then there was the moderator that got called in and details from those moderated negotiations were never released but the conclusion was the two parties did not agree due to testing terms. All this 30/14/he-said/she-said BS is just that, publicity BS.

        but a cheater wouldn't offer 3 blood tests random or not and numerous urine testing either.

        the same ppl who asked for 1mil per pound and other crap.

        to me it was negotiation games by both sides. blame pac team, floyd team or both. they were playing bs games.

            No he can offer that months in advance if he knows when they're coming.

            • Honestly... here's what I gather from this...

              Paulie strongly believes Shawn Porter was on steroids when he beat him up badly... just look at some interviews... Malignaggi insinuates that Porter was on steroids.

              Now... that loss I believe gave Paulie brain damage (to whatever degree it is)... simply observe his speech afterward... it's noticeably slower.

              So all in all, I believe Paulie is totally, totally against steroid-using boxers; hence his beef with Manny.

                  He admitted he was wrong to do so

                    The tests mean absolutely nothing if the athlete knows when they are coming.

                    I dont know if you follow baseball, but Arod was taking stuff and it would undectable the next day! Dude didnt fail any tests but never stopped doping either.

                    All this talk is meangingless though, for the simple reason that to this day Manny has never been made to answer WHY he refused random blood testing, or why he needed cutoffs to do it.

                      Except for I'm sure he accused Manny long before that bout. It is rather that he has a habit of making accusations vs other boxers.
