    Thoughts?
Then stay in Mexico and fight so all the Mexican fans can see you and celebrate with you.

Lol yes, to an extent. If he's fighting PAC then the day is irrelevant, but, if he's fighting someone else, then for sure the date matters financially. I Just don't see why he's making a big deal out of may 2nd if he's truly fighting PAC. He knows it would break records on Tuesday at 8 am.

There is a resin Cottos team is playing hard ball. Cotto might give up the date and the venue but he sure as hell is gonna get a much higher purse for doing so. He's not giving up everything for Canelo.
well that's fine. if he doesn't care about money then msg in june then. floyd will have may.

but something tells me a few extra million will matter. just a little.

btw cotto prefers msg when the opp is not really a draw.

he banks on his ny/nj pr fans to fill the arena.

but for fights against other stars, cotto has no problem with the big bucks vegas. he's fought in vegas numerous times.

if not, floyd will fight may.

i don't see the big problem.
            I don't see it either.

It's clear that Canelo is not budging. He's not giving up the dates. Not to Mayweather. Even in the Cotto negotiations. Miguel can dictate all he wants, but the Mexican star already made it clear that he will be fighting on those dates with or without Cotto.

Sure but it's clear tha someone doesn't want Arum involved in the process. Be it Todd or Cotto. Point is final say is clearly not with Arum on this.

I don't see the issue either, I'm also happy for Canelo to have the dates. . . My issue is why Bob won't give Floyd the same date too? . . . Surely the Pac v Floyd fight should be closer to his own interest than what Canelo wants?.

                YES/NO?

Cotto chooses Vegas against opponents he's willing to cede to. Canelo isn't one of them. Not saying he won't but if he does, it will be at a high price. Cotto is a diva. Let's not pretend he isnt.

Were arguing in circles about the other issues, but ill agree with you on this one. People in caguas, aren't a fan of his attitude, neither are most Ricans.

I'm pretty sure although the date may be a Mexican holiday as far as pay-per-view goes I'd say it belongs to the guy that's fought on that weekend five different times and is The highest grossing pay-per-view star of all time. Along with the largest gate of all time. Although Canelo did take part in that fight, it was a huge fight because Canelo was fighting Mayweather not Mayweather was fighting Canelo and last I checked Mayweather Made Canelo look like an amateur that night. If Canela wanted that date so bad maybe he should've won
