And if Cotto-Canelo don't change their date... Floyd can't actually fight Manny on another date? If so... why not?
I have answered all of your questions.

Why can't they change their date though? He just have you an example of a date being changed for a bigger fight, which is basic logic.

Arum has come up with some ridiculous things before but this takes the cake.

And you think it's thread worthy to support your argument

Well if that's the case that makes it even worse.

The fighter Arum represents wants it in June yet Arum says Mayweather Pacquaio can't happen on May 2nd because "that's Canelo's date It's one of the most mind boggling things I've read honestly.

Since when does Arum promote Canelo? He doesn't even promote Cotto he has a working relationship with Cotto and now he cares more about that date being a Mexican date? So much for "Let's make the fight no more excuses" right? I said this fight would never happen with Pac under Arum and am still right, if Cotto never left Arum he would have never fought Mayweather.

No you haven't. I asked you one simple question and I'm still waiting for you to answer.

There's no financial benefit to a Black American and a Filipino fighting on a Mexican Holiday. Floyd-Oscar and Floyd-Canelo were on Cinco de Mayo, featured 2 Mexican superstars and both were record breaking fights. Floyd-Maidan was on the same weekend and Showtime/GBP will never release those buy figures. Lotta good it did to have a non Mexican fight then.

Why can't they change their date though? He just have you an example of a date being changed for a bigger fight, which is basic logic.
They can change their date, but no one involved (outside of maybe the Puerto Rican Cotto) wants to. So that leaves Floyd with the dilemma of competing with a non Mexican opponent or moving his date with little or no difference financially.

What is preventing him from doing the latter?

            Any time now.

It's more than mind boggling. Until Arum starts getting called out by the media this fight would never happen, the problem is most of the media are under him so the blames doesn't go to him, only a few of them are brave enough to call him out.

Floyd been fighting on this day for like past 4 years.....And he said lets fight Manny on May 2nd cuz he feel like Canelo trying to steal his date....So Canelo need to move aside....But why is Arum siding with canelo? BOB Arum at his finest

Which is a load of crap anyway because Pacquaio-Mosley was on that date.
