Really? I wasn't aware of that.

If so, that makes this argument even weaker, if that was even possible.

    Arum - "That's Canelo's date"

Floyd wants the fight and you're trying to explain why it shouldn't happen.
      EXACTLY!

Now you're getting what's happening. It's literally the same scenario. Floyd wants the date, so he's fronting like he wants to fight Manny all of a sudden. But unlike before, Arum/DLH/Canelo aren't budging. If Floyd really wants Manny, he can fight him any day next year and the fight will do 2.5-3 million buys at $100 a pop.

So if he really wants Pacquiao, and he's not just trying to get Cotto-Canelo to move their date... it won't matter when the fight happens.

Glad you figured this all out before going to sleep.

You just said it can be moved so what's the difference?

Word is Floyd and Pacquaio have been negotiating aswell anyway..

You're not on this planet if you think having this fight on Cinco De Mayo won't maximise the revenue.

There is no logic what so ever having Canelo-Cotto on that date over the biggest fight in history.

        This thread is embarrassing
yea cotto advisor said an agreement won't come unitl sometime in january

Nope it's not Floyd's fault, so now we're back to square one with the TWO, not ONE, people who are preventing this fight from happening (Floyd/Arum). If y'all believed that bull***** recently about "new" negotiations for this fight, that's sad.

May 2nd ain't "Floyd's date". If it's his date, then find an opponent to compete with Canelo/Cotto and show the world it's his date. And who might that be? I'll wait......since it's not going to be Pac. I'll wait....

You still haven't answered a very simple question.

                    Any time you're ready.

And if Cotto-Canelo don't change their date... Floyd can't actually fight Manny on another date? If so... why not?

Yes Cotto prefers the fight on Pr independence weekend in June.
