Haha it seems Arum did Oscar/Haymon a favor so Hurrera can stay out of contention for a Danny rematch. Sad but nobody does anything about these things so they keep happening.

Completely agree, Herrera pitty pat punches were insignificant when compared to Benavidez. Benavidez hurt Herrera in multiple occasions and by far landed the harder blows. This fight was in no way a robbery the right man won.

Herrera always puts his head in the middle and comes around with a bunch of arm punches. He has good defensive skills, chin and a good jab but those pitty pat punches the are scored on the compu box are deceiving.

This fight was much closer than the cards suggest but it was no robbery

I scored it for Herrera. He looked like he was doing what he wanted in there. He would even put his own back against the ropes to invite Benavidez in.

I guess coming forward and pinning someone on the ropes is a sign of being hurt.

I thought Benavidez landed the better, cleaner, more effective punches, I had it 7-4-1 for the 22 year old.

I don't think he's that skilled/talented after watching this. He never consistently imposed himself on Herrera, though he had the physical advantages. He was too content to lean on the ropes and not keep the fight in the center of the ring. Herrera was landing jabs to the body whenever he wanted and Benavidez barely countered that. I'll be more impressed when he fights someone who rivals him in talent. He didn't have to be wary of Herrera's power or speed, but still wasn't letting it all hang out. This is his first notable opponent on HBO and he didn't seem eager to impress the audience. He didn't make a good first impression.
