Every thread turns into a Mayweather thread.

You group of fanboys are embarrassing to this entire site. No wonder other boxing forums thing the users here are a joke.
Go look at some threads from Jan 2013, it will make you sad seeing how quality the discussion here can be without Pacquiao fanboys around.

Threads not about Floyd. Bring up Floyd. "Cool story"

This thread is about Algieri vs Maidana and you are saying that this is not about Floyd (and Manny)?

      "Cool story!"

Uh, yes. It's about whether or not Algieri would beat Maidana. Not about how they did against Floyd and Manny.

Is it that difficult to understand?

          Nice bold,

            Absolutely.

The good news is, Mayweather and Pacquiao will be retiring in a couple of years, and these people will retire with them.

Algeri has proven a lot more as a boxer to a lot of you than he has to me. I didn't see anything that would say this guy is easily outboxing Maidana, if you aren't easily outboxing Maidana you have problems. Honestly Maidana is probably the more skillful tricky boxer offensively (just slower), he would almost certainly be the one landing the good counters.

OK Algeri can run around? but is that going to lead to winning situations for him? I would say no because Maidana will have forward momentum to help maul Algeri plus there will be nothing to keep Maidana honest allowing him to do as he wants.

That is why I would give him little shot of winning though, I don't think time and space are his friends in that fight and if those elements are not friendly to Algeri he is never going to win that fight.

Sad thing is it will take roughly 2 years beyond their retirement to filter out a lot of that but then a whole new group will probably be strongly entrenched by then.

Maybe the next group will care a little more about little things like facts, being correct, and actually following boxing closely. But that is really asking a lot from what I have seen.

I don't see Algieri winning here. I can see him easily win two rounds only to be knocked down twice or three times in a round and lose all advNtage he had. Maidanas power is no joke. Remember there is a reason that Pu$$y made him wear pillow gloves.
