They wouldn't ***** that deal, but otherwise they would not give 1 **** about what Showtime does.

On the other hand Oscar still has fighters tied to Showtime and Espinoza. Would he want to sour that relationship just for the sake of telling Canelo he got him the May 2nd date? Who knows.
I am hoping we see an announcement for Canelo/Cotto by the end of the year. After that they are playing the waiting game with the Floyd/Pac drama.

Has HBO ever made any noise about airing a WCB card on the same night as a Mayweather PPV since he's been on Showtime?
NO.
Not even close. I guarantee it wont happen. HBO isn't ******. IF HBO were ever ****** enough to start to playing that game then expect to see Showtime/NBC/CBS/Whoever airing fight cards featuring Al Haymon's best on the same night as HBO PPVs.
It'll never happen...Last edited by Nay_Sayer; 12-05-2014, 12:41 PM.

Canelo needs to worry about finding a REAL weight to fight at.
If Pac vs Floyd is made, he can forget about that date. I think his heart's in the right place though and a Mexican should be fighting on those dates...and not one Floyd picks to fight.
If Floyd really is TBE and half as popular as he lets on, he really doesn't need those dates does he?

Canelo has gone up against another PPV before when he fought Josesito Lopez while Chavez fought Martinez. It was the first time those guys had been on PPV and they did 400k which exceeded expectations. Canelo didn't hurt them at all and I doubt people are going to say "Hey, let's skip watching Floyd to watch the guy Floyd didn't lose a minute too." Hey, go for it Canelo hopefully ESPN will pay you 7 figures lol.
