Yeah he was deducted 2 points, but lets not act like that cup protected him fully from the low blow, especially a low blow from a big puncher like trinidad.. its very concievable to think vargas would have done better in the fight if not for the low blows.

I just watched this fight last weekend. One of my favorite performances. Trinidad was just relentless. And his boxing skills and quickness were so overlooked. Sigh...wish we could have him back at 147-154 today.

Yeah, i got the whole ppv on vhs tape and i watched it in its entirety a few weeks ago myself, andi still get pretty amped up about it myself... i was pretty disapointed that day because i had to pay up with 50 pushups on the spot for the bet i lost... other then that the whole night of the fight was bad azz!!

Nah those low blows are so overblown. Vargas' best rounds came after the supposed low blows. He was just outgunned that night.
