Fury is so overrated...other than his gangly unorthodox style, height/reach and general unpredictability he hasn't got much going for him in terms of skill, other than a decent jab. Average power. Average chin. What's his best win - out of shape, green Chisora? Midget cruiserweight Cunningham? Or turtle punching bag Johnson?

His skills are sloppy and if he fought in his usual reckless way against any top class opponent who has KO power he would be gone from contender status long ago. Haye would most likely have retired him.

I dunno, it seemed like some sort of joke at first when people on this board hyped up Fury as some brilliant prospect, funnily enough this has been happening in the last year or so when he's only had 1 or 2 fights v mediocre opponents...I don't get it.

If he can KO Chisora and look impressive doing it, then I will give him his dues and perhaps change my mind on him. But even then, such a win does not mean he's good enough to beat Wlad.

Also, as far as I know Wlad would like to fight Fury at some point, or Chisora if he wins, and I am sure that fight will take place in 2015, but after Wlad gets the WBC belt...I don't think that's a bad thing. And to think Wlad has been avoiding Fury is kinda b/s...when has Fury truly been in a position to really deserve the shot? Yes, you might say Wlad fought some real stinkers v vastly overmatched guys but lets not condone that either. Everyone should work for their shot.

Seriously, if Cunningham could floor Fury, what do you think a Wlad right hand would do?
It would knock him spark out. But the short right hook/uppercut that Fury finished Cunningham with would have knocked Wlad spark out also.

I'm not saying Fury would KO Wlad, just that I think he would have a better chance of doing it than anybody else, including Wilder, who hits harder but would have virtually no chance of landing anything meaningful on Wlad before getting KO'd himself.

I do like fury's combo's on the inside for such a big man and I agree that he moves well for such a huge man as well but I disagree about his physical strength. I dont think hes all that strong for his size. he did manhandle cunningham on the inside but he was a 200lber moving up. I think wlad is much stronger than fury despite being smaller and wont have a problem on the inside. fury is game tho and wont go into a shell or quit. he'll go out fighting and have a few moments but I just dont see it being that tough a fight for wlad. hope it happens tho as I dont see it being boring
Fury is stronger now than he used to be. He trains differently, including strength training with weights. I've seen videos of him deadlifting 500lbs, which is an awful lot for a tall, lanky guy like him. And that was over a year ago when he'd only just gotten into it.
Whatever, as you say, Fury/Wlad would definitely not be a boring fight.

All these UK matchups have the same plot line. And same crappiness in the ring.

I think Wlad might be looking at Jennings in the USA in March, then the winner of Fury/Chisora in the summer, possibly in the UK, which would be awesome.

He has a three fight deal with HBO though doesn't he?
I can't imagine HBO wanting that one to happen in the UK as much as I'd love it to.
