It is difficult to have other boxers shine with such a dominant champ.
Every objective fan thinks this is a string HW era.
Journalists are completely biased, I wonder if German magazines or Russian/Ukraine etc consider this a "weak era"
Today's HW's are the heaviest on record (the most resistant, toughest and most powerful on average by inference)
They are the most skilled (the more skilled ones have far better skills than any HW of the past)
They are more athletic by far
And they have much better records against a much higher quality of opposition.
Any of the top 10 would be monsters in any era pre-80's
The quality of this era is approx. the same as the 90's and 00's.
Nostalgia, Nationalism, Racism, Profit (social/financial), these are the only reasons possible to think otherwise! Fact!Comment

There is overwhelming evidence that it's among the strongest eras.
I believe in real evidence than the words of a biased writer with absolutely no evidence.
If someone put a gun to your head and asked you to pick the winner out of Kubrat Pulev vs Joe Louis or Muhammad Ali,. SUDDENLY none of the bull**** would matter anymore. You'd pick Pulev to save your life because you KNOW that there's no way Louis or Ali could REALLY win.Comment

Bigger-yes. More skilled-no. More powerful-debatable.
Even cliff rold here on Bscene has commented on the weakness.
Only wlad fans post about this era being good and that's only to justify them placing him way too high on the greatness scale. Did wlad even make the ring's top 50 fighters after WWII?Comment

Well I don't care if Wlad gets knocked out tomorrow, it's a strong era all the same!

More skilled? The most skilled ones are. I any are not, they have other qualities to compensate.
More athletic? The most athletic ones are. If any are not, they have other qualities to compensate.
More powerful? No, it isn't debatable at all!
Basically the "total package" of all current hws is far greater than the total package of previous HW's.
How could it be otherwise?
What has "HOF" got to do with anything? HOF is an American institution which basically exists to honour fighters from the past.
To get in it, you only had to, COULD only without a time machine, distinguish yourself against the boxers of your era. Today it is harder because the division is preceded by an almost invincible leader, and the punches are so hard that en route to challenge him, chances are great youll be splattered.
Almost every HOF or ATG fighter from the past, would never be able to compete today, Fact!Comment
