There is only one problem, Canelo tried this strategy and it didn't work.... To beat Floyd you need to be aggressive, athletic, smart and you need to have speed.

Bonus if this package comes in a southpaw stance... This is why the Pac fight is intriguing because he has 3 characteristics out of the 4 I listed. I think if they both fight his pacs boxing IQ would be his downfall.

It's gonna take someone who focuses on the body and can counter off the back foot, one who is two handed, that's Thurman for me. Thurman likely isn't gonna get the opportunity but I like his chances better than anyone else at the moment.
good points, I think thurman is too green and gets into slugfests too easy but I love the kid he's a great fighter...

Just like he instructed Kovalev to do with Hopkins, Jackson would tell a fighter to forget about Mayweather's head and focus on hitting every other part of his body - including his arms.

I'm disappointed with this trainer's comment. Why is it, the foremost strategy to beat Floyd has to be to use illegal tactics. steups...no creativity at all among these trainers. No wonder Floyd beats their fighters

This post alone is worthy enough to end this thread.

The dude is right an it's not hard to do. Floyd's body and arms are ther to hit. The thing is the fighter doesn't stick with the game plan.

there was a little more than just that. Is what it is. If posters agree with this-cool. WHen Floyd retaliates it shouldn't be an issue.

Floyd is like Ric Flair-the best in the biz and at the same time, the dirtiest player in the game.
