To be fair he has three solid wins, one being George Foreman which was surrounded with controversy after George made comments after the fight.
Two being his win over Norton which probably shouldn't have ever been a win for him then the win over Shaver which was a by far worse robbery.

Some boxing fans seem to be absolutely intolerant to the idea of someone analyzing a past fighter and making assessments on his previous opponents.

Honestly oppression of opinion is one thing but I will always make my own mind up with watching footage and not having the rose tinted glasses on like some others on here and if others don't like that they need to realize that the internet is a big place and that they could quite simply go set up a website/forum (Its easy to do, it really is) of their own and invite other intolerant people over and they can masquerade together in all their glory without being a bunch of whiny little girls.

Muhammad Ali is a notorious character far as I'm concerned similar to Floyd Mayweather Jr, obviously you can't have the good without the bad and overall Ali was a necessary evil which did play in the massive popularity boost of boxing back in the 60s to the 80s good on him he's successful but I still don't like him.

Of these 13 win opponents, only 7 of them were natural HW's.

He managed to KO only 4 of them.

3 of which were bums.

And the other was an extremely fat boxer who gassed out in the later rounds because he'd never fought that long before (or only once, against another bum).

Today we would view such a record as ridiculous!

As for Liston, he was great at beating up CW's, bums or a combination thereof.

And that EXHAUSTS Liston's entire win career.

There is another boxer today who cops massive flak for fighting bummy opposition. But I assure you that guys comp is many times better than Liston's was.

Yes, I have Ali 0-3 against Norton and even stetching Ali as much kindness as possible you can only gift him 1 fight at most.

I have Shaver beating Ali.

And sure, he got Foreman, his best victory but I give almost as much credit to Foreman for losing that fight through ******ity as I do Ali for winning it. With that, the ropes, the poison debacle, the holding in the camp unable to train etc etc, it was farcical to say the least. And no rematch? Come on

The main reason I baulk so strongly is having Ali (and by extension Frazier) winning all fantasy match ups vs modern (yes MODERN) boxers on no substantial grounds, well I find that an insult. A massive insult to every boxer that came after.
