Artur Beterbiev would test Kovalev. Maybe a bigger puncher too.

yeah, If Kovalev doesnt slip first or gets stopped by Pabon later, we would've seen a KO like Pavlik-Taylor I....ask Jermain how that feels in the psych ward...Comment

I agree, sure he had his hands up and was defending but he wasn't leaving that corner. No way, Kovalev would have made him take a knee. Good stoppage before any real damage was doneComment

Hanz you really are a grub.
Beterbiev beats both, and I give Rodriguez a good shot against Kovalev too.Kovalev is by far the best in the division. It's like GGG at middleweight, there's a good crop of fighters below them but too far below them to really trouble them. The only difference for Kovalev is that Stevenson is the only question mark in the division. If he wins his fight against Bika, there is nobody else for these guys to fight but each other.
Storm Alvarez is in the division, Mekhontsev coming up. LHW has got bodies, you just need to look outside the US TV bracket.Comment

Rodriguez? Seriously? Beterbiev can be outboxed, he doesn't move nearly as well as Kovalev. He can **** but he's got his limitations. I'd rank Shabranskyy as the bigger future threat as he can both box well and ****. Not that Artur isn't a threat with his power, but he is definitely one-dimensional.Comment

Kovalev doesn't box on the backfoot though, it won't be a case of having to hunt down Kovalev, in which event they'll trade and the guy with the best chin will win imo. I think that'll be Beterbiev.Rodriguez? Seriously? Beterbiev can be outboxed, he doesn't move nearly as well as Kovalev. He can **** but he's got his limitations. I give Rodriguez a shot, he's a big guy who takes a good punch and he will go to war and anything can happen in that situation.
Kovalev one of my favourite fighters but I do see him as vulnerable, and far from unbeatable. It's not a GGG at MW situation for me.Comment
