Kovalev didn't really do the Booty Dew, he got cracked but didn't fold, his chin is normal imo. He doesn't have a GGG chin but he's no Khan in that respect.

Two controversial stoppages in two days, what are the chances?

not really, first one was way too early granted, but pascal was on bambi legs for the last 4/5 rounds, ref saved pascal being taken to the hospital he was too brave for his own good.

I saw the leg trip again. Yea he stumbled on JDJ's towel... but then took a couple of steps, then started stumbling forward afterwards.

Yea they could've let it go on... but those shots before Kov went down and the tow right hands....probably wouldn't have ended well for Pascal.

At least we don't have people complaining about Pabon jumping in too late

I'm still in two minds about this stoppage, I can see why some people think it was ok, Kovalev clocked him with a big right hand but Pascal was still up on his feet and still had the wherewithal to put his hands up plus he was staring straight back at Kovalev. This is a former champion with one of the best chins going, at least let him finish the round or let him go down one more time. I can't condone that stoppage.

Just wanted to get in here and congratulate both men. A great fight. I would watch a rematch.

Pascal would of gone down eventually, but that was an early stoppage. Pascal is a very likable guy, wouldn't mind a rematch. But first, I'd like too see the Kovalev Stevenson fight. Stevenson might be able to hurt Kovalev at some point but he won't be able to throw enough IMO and Kovalev will keep pressing like a machine and get another TKO victory.

Sure Pascal was badly hurt at the 29:42 mark ..He was saved by the ropes and the corner... Now at 29:46 he counters Kovalev with a desperate left... might have caused the Russian to loose his balance... Too bad the ref is in the way and we can't see clearly the effect of the punch, but I think Kovalev was down there... Pascal, even if wobbling, acts like if Kovalev would get the count... The guy with the towel only made it worst for Pascal taking what was left of his balance away... Would have Pascal survive the round ? Probably not but Kovalev should have got a standing 8 count there... Nevertheless it was the first time I saw Kovalev hurt and wondering... The guy is not unbeatable, even for Pascal.. Great fight, and great heart from the Haitian ...
