He clearly got dropped from that angle. His lead foot has already moved back, away from Page's foot and then the right hand lands on the jaw/neck. That's a clear cut knockdown, look how Artur's legs folded up after he received the punch..

With that said, Artur was clearly sleepwalking in that first round and the knockdown woke him up. He pretty much even said that after the fight.

Yeah, but he's off balance from the forearm at that point. Anyhow, it's not whether he went down, he obviously did, it's that he wasn't hurt, there are no question-marks about his chin as yet.

Are we going to act like that's the only time Kovalev has been down? that he wasn't flat-out KO'd with headgear on, that he doesn't look vulnerable when he ships punches?

I'm just seeing one set of rules for one guy and another set for the next. Beterbiev was clearly dropped in his last fight. Kovalev just took some good shots vs Pascal, somehow he gets labeled as being suspect though. I seem to remember Froch being called granite chinned after taking the same punches from Pascal, and being dropped repeatedly throughout his career. Double standards but what else is new?

The guy almost fell on his face after Kovalev slipped. Pascal was about to be crippled.

Krusher has a serious sick streak to him, it's a big part of why he's so good. His laughing and pointing at Pascal was a little demented. That's why you don't piss the guy off, you don't want him like that.

I'm going to watch the HBO replay today cuz I've only seen the KO moment live and didn't bother to watch the immediate replays. Kovalev really does not give a damn about his opponents in that ring, a quality that I truly admire about him tbh. He's becoming the personification of "vicious".

Kovalev didn't really do the Booty Dew, he got cracked but didn't fold, his chin is normal imo. He doesn't have a GGG chin but he's no Khan in that respect.
