Kovalev is a big light heavyweight while Ward looks like a middleweight and not even a big puncher. Kovalev probably wouldn't hold back like he seemed to do against Hopkins so the results would be much brutal. Kovalev vs Stevenson is the only fight at this point that makes sense. Golovkin vs Ward makes a lot more sense than Kovalev vs Ward.
Ward and Kovalev are both 1.83 m in height... Kovalev has a small advantage in reach...

You say: "Golovkin vs Ward makes a lot more sense than Kovalev vs Ward."

I guess Ward isn't interested in Golovkin anymore -- two days ago, GGG stated that he is ready to attend a comprehensive drug test program, which he asks his possible opponents to attend as well... Under the circumstances a Golovkin fight doesn't make any sense for Ward anymore...

Ward is gonna clear them out and go get a heavyweight title. This confirmed every su****ion about kovalev, that hopkins said, wards gonna kill him he's just a hype job certain people need this kinda "boxer".

There fans were watching it with their hoods on, oh yeah p4p lol, the fight of his life was against a senior citizen and he wants some credit? So now in boxing, you can fight bums and supposedly get into the top ten, certain people are desperate, next stop nba, lol.

They didnt want none, this guy is nothing, and means nothing. He's only noticed cause of his ko's but wilder has done the same except he's ko'd everyone. His color is the only reason he's recognized cause the bronze bomber has done ko'd more at a higher weight class. A boxer with skills will beat this hype job. Just like the "machine" when he got in there with someone who could take his power he got beat, cause he's used to taxi drivers who worked overtime that weak. And you guys are the reason he will never get any credit. Tell that ducker tho fight a living body, rubio has grey hair and thats what got him into p4p. So please enough of this garbage. The guy who started this needs to stfu, and making excuses. Hes obviously a ggg nutlicker.

It's actually insulting to Andre Ward to even mention a fight between him and Kovalev. Andre Ward is P4P #2 fighter in world (he probably should be #1); is Sergey even on that list?

Andre Ward cleaned out the SMW division - what else does he have to ****in' prove?
he should'nt be number 1, he shouldn't be number 2, he hasn't done sht in a long time and his resume isn't that good anyway, froch would be well ahead of him if he hadn't lost to ward as his resume is much better, but rankings wise(with no number in mind, just in relation to one-another) i'd have them even and maybe even then that's being generous to ward

the guy beat kessler and froch, who else? abraham coming off two straight losses(one being a trouncing and domination from froch), a drained to hell dawson?
and even if you want to give a little more credit for the dawson win, it still doesn't trump froch's wins over undefeated jean pascal, virtually undefeated arthur abraham, undefeated lucian bute, avenged loss over mikkell kessler, undefeated george groves twice, not to mention good wins over still lively glen johnson and jermain taylor

ward's resume does not compare at all, but you have to give him his dues because he did beat kessler and froch without a doubt, but it's overrating him at this point, because like marquez has hasn't done much of *** else and people just overrate the crap out of the guy because he said he hasn't lost since he was twelve, and because he has yet to lose how can he lose right? he's super adaptable, no matter what he'll adapt, what a load of horsht, let him prove it, so far he's only fought fairly stationary boxers, he's percieved as this great inside fighter yet has never faced a decent inside fighter, he hasn't faced any fighter really with a clue on how to fight inside, yet he demolishes golovkin because of his deft inside work? this guy golovkin, an aggressive fighter who won the silver medal in the highly competitive middle weight amatuer boxing olympics(unlike wards competition at light-heavyweight, who fought *** all), in the amatuers where the best guys are almost always great movers, golovkin, a relatively plodding guy, although with amazing distance control won a silver medal with a style unfavorable in these 3 round fights

im not saying golovkin beats ward(although i believe he could and if the fight happens would likely back golovkin to do so) and ward can fight on the outside, but we've never seen that "amazing" inside work against anyone who has any clue on what to do inside and golovkin without a doubt has some idea, even if he isn't as good as ward and his style is more mid-range

im steering off course here, my point is if anyone doesn't deserve the other it's ward, who hasn't fought in ages and should move up and establish himself, not the reigning champ at the weight, in kovalev

Well nothing changes for me, I still have Ward by Decision but it won't be easy by any stretch for either fighter.

The B-Hop win was good for Kovalev, but beating B-Hop doesn't mean that somehow because he beat B-Hop he can do the exact same thing to Ward. At this point in their careers...Ward and B-Hop are nothing alike to be honest.

              AGREE.

And give the man some time. I mean he's been taking beatings in court.
I think he may have another toe to toe battle with the ghost of Goosen.

His lawyers better prep long and hard (maybe have a camp in Big Bear) to slay the beast who is already dead but still keeps beating Ward up.

                Nothing changed.

Kovalev beats Ward a year ago. Kovalev beats Ward 6 months ago. Kovalev beats Ward now. Beating Hopkins has nothing to do with how Kovalev would destroy Ward.

Easy work Kovalev. Only Kovalev and GGG beat Ward from 175lbs and below. No one else

                  Cant tell if serious...

Surely we want SOG to get a real challenge.

Seems like many boxing fans are turning into Arum/Floyd.

                      kovalev outboxes and stops ward.

ward doesn't have a chin like hopkins.

i expect ward to throw less than 60 punches the entire fight.
