Theres a reason why Kovalev is favored to win and you can't even get even money on him to win by KO

If anyone can beat BHop, its Kovalev
I agree with this. Hopkins is a master of fighting rhythm fighters that need to have certain set ups to throw punches. If they don't have it, they re-set. Bernard over and over again forces them to re-set and not throw punches. Kovalev is not that kind of fighter. He takes what is there and throws straight punches. He is active and comes forward. He throws unusual combinations and doesn't appear to have to re-set to go on the attack. This is a bad style match up for Bernard, if he could move like he used to, his tricks would work, I think. But he cannot and he is going to go to the ropes and lose. I wouldn't be surprised if Bernard pulls up lame at some point. I think he is too proud to go out with a KO or TKO.

It seems that team Kovalev is psyched out and confused by Bernard Hopkins which is a very ominous sign of things to come. This means they've lost half the battle already. He's in their heads.

              Dawson beat Hop badly

Hop gets beats soundly by Chad and then Hoppie runs away in the other direction avoiding Chad and picks up a few fake belts. But Kovaloss cannot beat Hoppie. The Hop on points as the crowd boos and America could care less. No one buys any tickets for Hop fights anyway.

I hate to say it but Team Kovalev doesn't sound all that confident that their man can defeat B-Hops. How can one go out and perform at their best when their own team doesn't even believe in them? This kid is in some serious trouble because once self doubt creeps in he'll start becoming tight and that's when Bernard's confidence is going to exude and then proceed to pick him apart.

Do you actually believe they're gonna try to outbox a 49 yo that's still winning championships? They're not revealing their real plans. I'm assuming it involves treating a 49 yo man like a 49 yo man and working the body a lot. Not sure how many of those straight jabs to the body B.Hop will be able to take.

WHY CHANGE A STYLE THAT'S BEEN WORKING FOR YOU? WHAT AN ODD IDEA!...SHOULD PLAY RIGHT INTO HOPKINS STYLE...SO I'LL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT.

I can't wait to see what Bernard comes up with to weasel his way out of this fight when he starts to feel Kovalev's power consistently, even if the shots aren't landing cleanly. And the pressure becomes too much for his 50 year old body to handle.

                      I'll give 2-1 on a "back injury".

I expect Sergey to beat the **** out of Bernard every time he gets on the ropes, which I suspect will be a lot.
