i disagree with roach on hunter. its not like he taught amir to stop moving altogether, he just gave him the alternative of smothering his opponent if he gets a bit too close to move out of range without being clipped.

amir frequently got caught stepping out after a combination when he was with roach, in part because he did it from too close and partly because he did it after every combination which could become predictable. its not just that he would stay in the pocket too long (which was also the case at times).

that sounds about right amateruish style and unable to adjust

he's incredibly sloppy and inaccurate for someone with a lot of athleticism

roach fighters mostly rely on their bikes for defense

manny barely knows how to clinch which is abnormal for an elite fighter

        There is some truth here.

Khan does have an amateur style.

He will always be an 'in and out' fighter, with no inside game whatsoever.

Holding a smothering is a legal tactic and Hunter is a strong advocate of it, but against a strong, compact, inside fighter (like Peterson) Khan was easily outworked.

I believe Khan will hold, lean and push his way to a UD against Devon in a petty dull fight.

I watch every fight available on tv, but I'm really not looking forward to what you accurately described

yep if there was anyone out there today I'd say is made to order for Amir, it's Devon

things won't bode well for him if doesn't manage to win this fight

The two are related in Khan's case at least.

Floyd likes to fight guys he can grab he does that straight right and grab crap, which is not skill at all, it's bending the rules. Real skills defense guys are James toney who never held at all, he would roll the shoulder and counter or slip counter.
There's a lot of truth to some of what you say. Floyd is a great inside fighter and you're not going to outmeneuver him clinching lol. He's not given enough credit for his strength (same with Ward) people always comment on his physical strength. Floyd is also great at breaking the clinch AND getting his punches in as he breaks off an makes you reset to get near him again

Disagree with Roach on both fronts. He's more boring Freddy? Well he went 8-2 with 4 KOs under you. That's a 40% KO ratio. He's 3-0 with 1 KO under Hunter. So that's 33%. You're right. He was 7% more exciting under you

                  Honestly, I think a Roach-trained Khan would've been KO'd by Collazo.
