hopkins is NO legend, just old...I've seen a lot in my years...as a MW he would not have beat SRR or Monzon or even Hagler..LH/ loses to Spinks , Galendez, maybe Rossman, & ko'd by Foster...

A lot of myth surrounds B-Hop, but he's still an old man. He's got much more skill than Kovalev, but Kovalev is the biggest puncher he's faced in recent times. A long fight favours B-Hop more, but I don't think he'll make past 7.

Some people just look for something to complain about I guess or is that just an ready made excuse? This is a fight people wanted to see but now that its made Hopkins is too old. Why should anybody even bother with Hopkins then? You get no credit for beating him anyway.

Hopkins is winning fights and has a title at 50 years old, if he is the legend people say he is Kovalev gets full credit for beating him even at his current age, its not like Hopkins is making a comeback from retirement at 50, he been fighting and obviously impressing people while hes at it with the praise hes been getting. A lot of people have him in the top 10 p4p or at least close to it.

If Hopkins wins will it will be said he beat a monster and its the most impressive victory we've seen in years or will people say Kovalev was not as good as we thought? We both know the answer to that question.

The more I read about this fight and think about it, Kovalev/Hopkins is a pointless fight other than to unify the belts. Even if Kovalev wins hes going to get **** and it will be said he beat up an old man.

No lose situation for Hopkins and no win for Kovalev and the funny thing is if Kovalev wasn't fighting Hopkins the same people saying Hopkins is too old would say Kovalev is ducking him because he knows he'd get his ass beat.

Daggum needs to come in here and explain to people what happens to Taylor and Dawson's legacy if Hopkins beats Kovalev. I know it would put them both in the HOF but really maybe they would be top 50 ATG. **** if Hopkins beats Kovalev Calzaghe is the GOAT.
