ggg is a good boxer, but he used to be a way better boxer before he teamed up with sanchez. he had great footwork, head movement and defense...where nowadays he just stops to look for an opening whenever his opponent decides to fight back

I think he's falling in love with his power and we all know what happens when fighters like that face other skilled fighters who can hurt them back which I think ward can

That's true. And here's an example of how it works:

Idk but ppl talk about Ward like he's a boxing god. Lol he's good don't get it twisted but y'all be over doing it. GGG is good for boxing, wards style isn't. It's horrible. I'm not even a fan of either guy but it's the truth. "Real Boxing" now in days is hit, hold or run over and over and over again. That **** is wack.

It's a moot point to talk about boxers who shelve themselves. Until he straightens out his legal mess, Andre Ward is an HBO analyst and GGG is the most talented Middleweight. Throw out Chavez Jr as well. GGG vs Froch in Vegas would be a good measuring stick to see if GGG's power carries over to 168.

There ya go! Run from guys your size, who could really challenge you and go pick on the smaller fighters. Oh wait, he's been doing that for a while now. Making 154lbers come up to middleweight to fight him. Rosado, Simon, Ouma, Ishida, sound familiar? LOL!

... I mean actually, not virtually... Facts, not talk...
Why first off bud, it was GGG's people who called out Ward. Ward attempted to make the fight and GGG's people stated, "we have unfinished business at 160". So, yeah, Ward did attempt to make the fight, he called their bluff and they ducked. That's fact fam, not talk.

Golovkin going straight into a fight with Ward at 168 would be crazy.

As I said in another thread, name one time when the two stand-out fighters of this era (Floyd & Pac) took a risk comparable to what Golovkin is being asked to do here?

He's not just being asked to step up and fight the best SMW in the world. He's being asked to step up and fight a guy who many would regard as the best fighter in the world if he was staying active.

Pac and Manny are universally regarded as ATGs, and not once in their careers have they taken a risk as significant as this one. The closest Floyd came was moving up to fight Castillo.

It's a great fight and I hope it will happen at some point, but no way am I going to bash Golovkin for not diving straight into it.

What makes you think Ward was serious about actually making the fight?

Ward has a history of making ****** decisions. He tried to sue Goosen and failed 3 times in court. He didn't want to fight Bute after the super six. He didn't want to go to England to fight Froch. HBO rejected at least 3 opponents that Ward wanted to fight, opponents who had no name recognition or even in the top 10, until HBO finally settled on Rodriguez.

With all of this do you really think GGG and his crew thought there was a real possibility of fighting Ward?

Unlike Ward and other dumb arses who shelf themselves until they get an opponent they want, GGG goes out and fights anyone. He fights 3-4 times a year even if the competition isn't s great, he goes out, fights, entertains and keeps his name in boxing fans mouth. It's how you build a fan base, and why when Ward does decide to fight again it will now be GGG who will be the A side.
