Fact is, the LHWs arent going anywhere. They are not moving down or up to Cruiser. Ward will get there when the division starts to really blossom. Currently he has 6 defenses of his WBA SMW belt, I would like to see him get to 10 before exploring LHW opportunities.

From memory Canelo, Trout and Rosado have all made weight at 154 and weighed arournd the same as Golovkin on fight night. Maybe he would be greatly hindered at the weight if he made 154, all the more reason for the likes of Mayweather to fight him no? We saw Ward make Dawson make 168 and Ward knocked him out. What is Mayweather afraid of? The answer is of course losing. If a fighter can make the weight then he is of that weight. Hearns was a huge welterweight but for a while he could make that weight, therefore he was a welterweight.

That last sentance applys for Cotto-Ward and Cotto-Hopkins aswell All they've actually done though, much like Golovkin, is claim they can make it, despite not being there in many years. So I don't think Cotto is ducking those two just like I don't think Mayweather is ducking Golvokin and all 3 notions at ridiculous.

As for Trout and Canelo why are you telling me that? I didn't say you couldn't make 154 whilst being in the 170's on fight night. I said he was 173 which a makes your story doubtful, and also shows he's not a small MW.

Probably isn't 5 lbs on clothes but even if it was it still makes you story doubtful.
