That's true, but I forgot to add Groves and DeGale to that list.

Fact is, the LHWs arent going anywhere. They are not moving down or up to Cruiser. Ward will get there when the division starts to really blossom. Currently he has 6 defenses of his WBA SMW belt, I would like to see him get to 10 before exploring LHW opportunities.

What he actually witnessed him get in the scales?

If he was 161 5 days out how was he 173 unofficially?

He was 173 unofficially and that is a fact not "so and so said he was".

What is Mayweather afraid of? The answer is of course losing. If a fighter can make the weight then he is of that weight. Hearns was a huge welterweight but for a while he could make that weight, therefore he was a welterweight.
Ok and none of those spent over a decade fightif at middleweight so it's not the same.

Yeah Golovkin could probably make it if he completely killed himself like Dawson did but why would anyone want to see that?

Again Hearns is completely different because he made 147. Golvokin hasn't made 154.

He's in his 30's and hasn't been lower than MW in over a decade I hate to be a parrot but the chances of him moving down in weight healthy is very unlikely.

I dont know, he said it as though its a fact. Ample evidence, for him.

          Trout 171 vs Canelo 172

Unofficial weighin could have been with clothes, shoes on, who knows

I don't even know what to say to that piece of defensiveness. They would move to 160 for Floyd, who would have to move up. Cotto wasn't mentioned by either guy.

Cotto still has time to prove he's not a paper champ at 160, though it's not looking good.
What's the relevance that names were used?

They said they would move to that weight and Cotto is a money guy aswell anyway.

By the logic being used Cotto is ducking.

Obviously that notion is ridiculous, though. Considering they are 2 weight classes apart from their ideal weight classes and neither have actually moved down in weight

Again what are you trying to show me with those unofficial weights? Are you supposed to have a point?

Say you're taking Kevin Ioles word now? That's funny.

Yeah he could have had clothes on, sure. Not 10 lbs worth, though.

173 in the ring that's the only actual fact here. Makes 161 5 days out an unlikely figure.

They prove you can make Sww and be in the low 70s, clearly.

He doesnt need 10 lbs of clothes. 5lbs, and he's a pretty normal sized SWW fight night.

Ok so Iole is either lying or doesnt know what hes talking about. Is he also wrong on this?

But they would not move to that weight for Cotto. Real dumb argument. Since they're willing to do it for Floyd and not Cotto, maybe theyre ducking Cotto?

That last sentance applys for Cotto-Ward and Cotto-Hopkins aswell All they've actually done though, much like Golovkin, is claim they can make it, despite not being there in many years. So I don't think Cotto is ducking those two just like I don't think Mayweather is ducking Golvokin and all 3 notions at ridiculous.

As for Trout and Canelo why are you telling me that? I didn't say you couldn't make 154 whilst being in the 170's on fight night. I said he was 173 which a makes your story doubtful, and also shows he's not a small MW.

Probably isn't 5 lbs on clothes but even if it was it still makes you story doubtful.
